Scene VII: Love

The day of the party races through Dante's mind like a movie in time lapse, their last day together compressed into a few seconds of beautiful memory.

Inter-cut between the steps he takes towards her body, lying dead on the cold pavement, slices of that last day with Bea flash by him:

They wake together in her small one bed apartment, her gentle body stretching in his arms, they eat breakfast together, Bea sitting on his knee smiling feeding him food, shower and dress together, they head out shopping for a new dress for the party that night, he delights in sneaking a look at her fit body through the chink in the dressing room curtain, she delights in knowing he's looking, they meet her friends for lunch in town and share a joint in the park, they sneak into the cinema and snog hungrily in the back row, they head back to her place and make love in the hallway, fall asleep for a few hours waking to the alarm and it is already ten, laughing and rushing about they shower again and get dressed for the party, tunes blaring, line of charles on the dresser to get things pinky perky, they pile out of the flat, rushing laughing to jump on the bus after he stops to buy her a crisp white rose, they sit down on the top floor watching the dark busy city night unfolding out of the window, he looks at her reflection, beautiful hair and eyes, gorgeous smell, they're here, off the bus and into the labyrinth of alleys on the estate...
